Meet Dr. Brent Carlini and Mara Carlini

Dr. Carlini is your Functional Medicine Doctor and Chiropractor

Dr. Brent Carlini is dedicated to utilizing the body’s natural ability to heal by addressing the root causes of health conditions. His holistic approach aims to restore balance, vitality, and well-being by supporting the body’s innate processes.

With expertise in chiropractic care, massage therapy, craniosacral therapy, and Reiki, Dr. Carlini provides personalized treatments that promote comprehensive wellness. He holds a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College, is a licensed massage therapist through Pittsburgh Technical Institute, and is certified at the Reiki Master level. In addition, Dr. Carlini has completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Allegheny College.

Currently, Dr. Carlini shares his knowledge by teaching healthcare courses at various institutions and delivering public lectures on health and wellness.

Mara is your Acupuncturist and Herbalist

Mara specializes in Digestive Health, Stress/Anxiety Relief, and Pain Management.

When you make an appointment with Mara, your body will be set into motion to achieve balance. A body in a harmonious state is free of pain and functions at its highest potential.

Mara holds a Master’s degree in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine from Northeast College of Health Sciences in New York. She is certified in Soliman Auricular Allergy Treatment (SAAT) by Dr. Soliman and is also trained in Acupuncture Injection Therapy (AIT). As a NCCAOM Diplomate with over eight years of experience, Mara brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her practice.

In addition, she is a certified 200-hour Yoga Teacher and holds a bachelor’s degree in Studio Art from Allegheny College. Mara is also a talented artist, known for painting angels and teaching Mandala painting online classes.

Mara practices Chinese Medicine techniques, which include:

Dr. Brent and Mara met at Allegheny College, where their shared passion for holistic health began. After continuing their studies at Northeast College of Health Sciences, they married and pursued their individual disciplines with the goal of creating this wellness center to bring holistic healing to the Pittsburgh community.

They now live in Moon Township with their daughter. They enjoy their Golden Retriever, Magnus, and cat, Gwennie. In their free time, they enjoy practicing yoga, meditating, spending time outdoors, and cooking healthy meals together as a family.
